This place is like getting into the history. You can feel the smell of old times. Very well preserved. Amazing entrance and outside and even better inside. Wow. The acoustics inside is also fabulous. The Vienna concert was also from the highest qualities so the evening wad outstanding. Thank you.
The architectural jewel of Bucharest. The inside is more impressive than the outside. An ornate, domed, circular neoclassical building with elements of Romanticism with the function of a concert hall. Check to see if there is a performance, as I think you can attend unless you're a fan of the performance.
Amazing building inside and outside. I would like to see a concert or an event in it. Must be amazing, every detail on the walls and ceiling inside is created that fascinating ambience. The paintings on the walls & ceiling of concert hall got me amazed and titles of science branches spread on top of the hall is another very impressive beauty.
The building is beautiful, but the inside is a gem. Built at the end of the XIX century, it is one of the most beautiful Athenaeums in Europe. Now, you can only go inside paying a fee of 10 lei, that are 2 euros, but you can only pay in cash, as in many other places in Bucharest, even in the XXI century. You can visit the hall in the main floor but also the auditorium as well. And if you are lucky enough as we were, you can see a performance during the rehearsals of the artists.

Really amazing place, with such glamour and style, I'm just sorry I wasn't able to visit during a performance. Was also impressed with the fresco inside the main room, with depictions of the most important moments in Romanian history. A must-visit!
Wonderful environment for enjoying classical music, well maintained after ample restoration several years ago, decorated with large wall painting summarizing two thousand years of history of the Romanian people.

Must to visit. You may not have to attend a concert but pay 10 RON to view empty hall during the day time. Cash only. Worth a visit.
I've never been inside, but I planned to do. This is an amazing building and in spring is lovely to make pictures. I recommend it. There is also the possibility to visit the building and see a Orchestra concert
